About us

Founded by Dr Bruce Stevens in 1998, Canberra Clinical and Forensic Psychology has been providing therapy and assessment services to the Canberra community for over 20 years. Located in the heart of Canberra in the AMP Building at level 10, 1 Hobart Place in the City, we are a team of energetic, positive clinicians that are committed to our clients wellbeing and the overall practice of psychology. A number of our psychologists also work as academics, in public mental health, as supervisors to their peers, and sit on the boards of our professional associations.

We offer both registered and clinical psychologists, all of whom are registered with Medicare and can provide services under the Better Outcomes for Mental Health Scheme. This means that pending eligbility and with a referral from your GP, you could access Medicare rebates for up to 20 sessions per calendar year following recent changes by Medicare. We also provide services under the Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service, and have a range of WorkCover approved clinicians. Our office has HICAPS facilities so that clients can access immediate rebates from Medicare and Private Health Insurers.

Our psychologists are trained to assist people function better in the areas of emotional wellbeing, relationships, family, work, social life, employment, and the community. We provide a range of therapies to help people more effectively manage symptoms such as depression and anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship problems, and eating disorders
